Sharie and Diana’s ultimate dream to own their own creative business has come true with “The Sisters of Bubik – A Theatrical Boutique Café” in Old Town Pasadena! Together they have designed an incredibly original retail venue to showcase their wearable art and various talents. They also feature handmade and one-of-a-kind items produced by other local artists, including women’s and menswear, jewelry, accessories, home décor and wall art, along with gourmet confections offered in the “Coffee Cave” café. A creative mix of live entertainment and theatrics rounds out the uniquely fun experience at The Sisters of Bubik. Set in a fantasy forest outside a castle, based on “The Legend of Bubik” written by the sisters, this “theatrical boutique café” awakens the humor, fun, whimsy, and creativity of all who enter.

Diana March, an actress, singer and dancer, is a native of Los Angeles. Diana has always been drawn to shiny rocks, and loves anything sparkly. Two years ago, during a rehearsal, Diana snuck off to a rock and mineral show next door. That’s where she first saw a woman wire-wrapping beautiful stones. Diana was so taken with the process that she cajoled the jeweler into teaching her this art form.

From that moment on, Diana was hooked. Now, Jewels of the Earth by Diana are in several stores, and Diana is delighted to be making her living as a jewelry designer and actress.

Diana carefully hand picks each stone and shell, then designs and hand wraps it in sterling silver or gold, using no machines or soldering. Diana’s own unique style of wrapping follows the markings or texture of the stone or shell, enhancing and honoring its natural beauty. No piece is exactly alike. Each Jewel of the Earth is a wearable work of art, individually signed by the artist, Diana.
